BREAKFAST is not automatically included in the room rate. Please check your booking confirmation. You can book breakfast in advance at the reception. Breakfast is available during the opening hours of the shop. If you wish, you can have a breakfast basket delivered to your room the night before, so you can enjoy breakfast in your room.
CLEANING The room rate includes a departure cleaning service. The room will not be cleaned during your stay unless otherwise agreed. Please wash the dishes you use!
WATER Tap water in Finland is drinkable.
BARBEQUE The barbecue in the hotel's courtyard is free for use by residents. Firewood or barbecue charcoal can be purchased from the village shop.
KEYS The guest is responsible for the room key. For lost keys we charge 90€.
TEMPERATURE The room has underfloor heating. The normal room temperature is 20-21 C. You can change the temperature with the thermostat on the wall. You can use the air-source heat pump to cool the room and heating the room.
LAUNDRY The guest marina laundry room has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Book your turn in the laundry room reservation booklet. The machines are operated with €1 coins (3 x €1).
SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED in any rooms or in the upstairs hatchway.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Check-in is after 14.00 and check-out is at the latest 12.00 unless otherwise agreed. Please sort your rubbish and wash your dishes before you check out. Keys must be returned to the reception or in the reception key box. If there are any deficiencies in your room or if you notice anything else worth mentioning, please let us know as soon as possible and we will rectify the situation.
USING THE HOT PLATE The timer can be found above the sink. By turning the timer, the cooker will operate normally.
SAUNA The hotel sauna is located at the end of the building. One hour private sauna is included in the room rate. You can book a sauna at the reception. If there are no sauna users before you, please turn on the sauna about 30min before your shift. Bring your own towel and leave the sauna clean and tidy. There is also a larger beach sauna in the guest marina which you can book for an extra fee. From June to August, hotel guests can use the beach sauna on public shifts.
ACTIVITIES The equipment hire shop offers seasonal hiking equipment and guided excursions. In summer, it's worth grabbing a kayak and heading to Linnansaari or Joutenvesi to enjoy the lake. The most popular excursion of the summer, the sunset seal safari, is also worth experiencing. In winter, you can skate, ski and snowshoe. In autumn, enjoy the autumn colours and the darkening evenings, sauna and relaxation. In spring, when nature comes to life, head out for a spot of birdwatching to spot seals.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMME AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
The environment is important to us, which is why the building is heated with geothermal energy. We use carbon dioxide-free electricity and solar panels and recycle waste. We also ask you to do your bit for our environment.
- Waste sorting can be found at the end of the hotel. Sort glass, metal, cardboard, paper and organic waste
- You can return cans and bottles to the village shop
- Turn off the lights and the air conditioner when you leave the room.
- When out in nature, do not leave any rubbish behind.
